Delhi High Court judge Shiv Narayan Dhingra was today assigned the responsibility to head the new three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted yesterday on the orders of the Supreme Court of India to re-investigate 186 anti-Sikh riot cases from 1984. The other two members of SIT are retired IPS officer Rajdeep Singh and serving IPS officer Abhishek Dular. The apex asked the SIT to give a status report in two months and posted the case for hearing on March 19.
