The disqualification of the then-PM Indira Gandhi in 1975 by Justice Jagmohan Lal Sinha of the Allahabad High Court was a judgement that "shook the nation", Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana has said. "It was a judgement of great courage, which could be said to have directly resulted in the declaration of Emergency," said Ramana.
