The state recorded 187 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, taking the total to 1,761. Deaths rose by 17, with 12 from the city, equalling its worst one-day toll. Among the dead were a 25-year-old man, the youngest so far here. The city added 138 positive cases, taking its tally to 1,146.
The death toll in the state reached 127, of which 76 fatalities were from the city. Two of the latest deaths were from Pune and one each from Dhule, Malegaon and Satara.
