Gujarat's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 2,26,508 on Saturday with 1204 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. With the death of 12 more patients, the fatalities increased to 4,160, it said. The state has in all recorded 13,481 active cases of which 71 are on ventilator support. At the same time, 1,338 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,08,867, the department said in a release here. The state's recovery rate stood at 92.21 percent, it said. As many as 60,423 tests were conducted for coronavirus in the state in a day at a rate of 929.58 tests per day per million population, the department said.
