Gujarat registered 1122 fresh cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking its tally to 2,81,173 on Wednesday. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,430 after 3 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 775 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,71,433. The number of active cases crosses 5,000-mark on Wednesday. At present, Gujarat has 5,310 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 61 patients are on ventilator. A total of 22,71,174 persons have been given the first dose and 5,54,662 persons have been given the second dose so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 96.54 percent, it said.
