A 49-year-old has tested positive for the Omicron COVID-19 variant in Mumbai's Dharavi, taking the country's total cases to 26. The patient had returned from Tanzania on December 4 and tested positive for COVID-19 during the random RT-PCR test done at the airport. As per the BMC, the patient is asymptomatic, unvaccinated and currently hospitalised.
