Gujarat registered 1,580 fresh cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking its tally to 2,87,009 on Sunday. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,450 after 7 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 989 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,75,238. The number of active cases crosses 7,000-mark on Sunday. At present, Gujarat has 7,321 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 71 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 30,48,462 persons and the second dose has been given to 5,96,893 persons. A total of 36,45,355 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 95.90 percent, it said.
